Beacon Credit Union has agreed to extend the Covered With Love donation drive through the month of February.  “The public support of our community’s children through this effort has been tremendous, we are pleased that Beacon has decided to continue this drive,” said Brad Harris of the DCIC.

             Covered With Love care kits are provided to Department of Child Services case workers to deliver to children removed from dangerous home situations.  In many instances, children are unable to keep personal possessions during the crisis, Covered With Love care kits provide caring by giving to the child, providing each with simple comforts. 

 Items include in the kits are: soap, shampoo, combs, brushes, socks, underwear, flip-flops, deodorant, body wash, hair accessories, hair care products, small toys (i.e., matchbox cars), dental floss, journals, coloring books, pens, pencils, and crayons.  Items should be new.
