Future Vision Programs
  1. After School Care
    1. There is a need to expand our ability to mentor/tutor children and youth. We envision that more subjects could be covered and latchkey children could be dropped off at the future community center, to provide a safe environment, until parents get home from work.

After school care would provide a safe, Christ centered environment for all children who wish to attend.  The program will include a snack/meal for the kids as well as knitting together other ministries such as music and theatre arts, open gym, computer lab, homework help, etc.
  2. Computer Lab
    1. Our desire is to have a computer lab with 10 networked computers to provide computer skill training, to enable local residents who cannot afford a computer to have access to one, to allow safe internet browsing and research, and to use computer programs to offer academic tutoring to advance or struggling students.
  3. Life Skills Training
    1. Local residents will have opportunities to develop skills in the culinary arts, organizational management, personal financial management and budgeting, first aid, babysitting certification, residential care, basic childcare, marriage preparation and enrichment, weight management, addiction recovery, geriatric care, etc. Many of these programs will be through partnerships with other community organizations.
  4. Additional Sporting Programs
    1. Sporting programs are proven to be exceptional conduits for relationship building and character development. Expanding our current offerings to soccer, t-ball, softball, volleyball, and other team sports is desired. The sporting programs will all work to strengthen relationships, build character, and encourage spiritual development.
  5. Job Skills Development
    1. Agencies such as WorkOne® that provide development for occupational skills will be encouraged to use our facilities to assist local residents who are transitioning between jobs.
  6. Emergency Relief Center
    1. We intend to work with state and local officials to approve our future community center for emergency relief. This may take on the form of temporary shelter, transitional housing, or periodic distribution of food or other life essentials. Community volunteers will be identified, trained, and certified to assist with emergency situations.
  7. Community Kitchen
    1. There are times when meals can be provided to the community such as special holidays, after school, or during emergency situations.
