Executive Director DCIC
Marisa McKenzie began serving as Director of Hearten House Gospel Rescue Mission in March of 2018 and began serving as Executive Director of DCIC beginning January of 2020. Marisa has an Associate of Science in Human Services and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. Marisa believes in the power of God, the power of love, and the power of redemption to change lives and rescue lost people. In addition to overseeing the ministry, she has direct focus on development, fundraising, strategic planning, staffing and donor relations. Marisa enjoys time with family, especially her sweet grandchildren.

Beth Koch |
Assistant Director
Beth has been an integral part of the Hearten House Gospel Rescue Mission staff from the opening of the ministry in 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and has been working in this field for over a decade. Beth has a heart for teaching others about the love of Jesus! She is a member of the Hoagland Community Church and loves serving in God's Army Ministry. Beth serves as liaison with the courts, Department of Child Services, Mental Health Services and other coordinating agencies. She oversees resident placement and monitors their progress throughout the program.

Vicki Rodkey |
Ministry Coordinator
Vicki Rodkey began serving as Ministry Coordinator for DCIC in the fall of 2017. It has been a thrill for her to see Hearten House open in April of 2018 and witness God orchestrating support and bringing residents. Vicki is a native of DeKalb County, residing outside of Butler with her husband Steve. She has past experience working in the court, probation and the school system. Her responsibilities include payables, receivables, payroll, website and publications. Vicki enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her musical interests.

Angie Helms |
Director of Develoment
Angie was one of the original team members when Hearten House opened in 2018. She holds an Associate of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership and one in Human Services as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She has worked in the human services field for the last 10 years. Angie is responsible for program / donor development, fundraising events, volunteer and intern coordinator and works closely with the Executive Director. She brings with her a great passion for serving others and is dedicated to making a positive impact within our community. Angie and her husband Kris live in DeKalb County and have two adult children and one grandchild. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and riding her motorcycle. We are blessed to have her back on the team.

HEATHER FARR |
Program Coordinator
Heather joined the Hearten House team after completing the program herself. Heather is a certified Recovery Specialist and brings with her the understanding of what our residents are experiencing. She serves as house manager, is responsible for day-to-day operations, oversees the staff schedule and the Aftercare Program. Heather lives in Auburn and enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. She strives to live a healthy lifestyle and to stay active and fit. Heather is a great mentor and an inspiration to all those who know her. She is a beautiful example of what God can do in transforming and redeeming lives.

Vickie Andrews |
Case Manager
Vickie Andrews recently joined the Hearten House team bringing with her a Bachelor of General Education with a concentration in Psychology. She is a Certified Christian Life Coach. Some of her previous experience includes serving as a Professional Guardian at Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana and Case Management at Park Center. Vickie prepares treatment plans for the residents, records goals and progress and assists residents with achieving their goals. She and her husband Brian are enjoying their new puppy, Suzy Q. She enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and friends either at home or on vacation. Vickie was led by God to submit her application to Hearten House and she listened!

Janel WHan |
Chaplain
Janel began her association with the DCIC as a member of the Board of Directors. Janel comes to Hearten House with a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and Certification in Christian Counseling. She is our spiritual guide, bringing weekly Bible studies to the leadership team and covering us all in prayer. Janel meets weekly with staff and residents individually and is available to us at all times for guidance and encouragement. We love that God sent Janel to keep us challenged and growing in our relationships with Christ.
